Yet at the same time Julian Assange, the world's leading advocate of freedom of the press, rots in prison while his network of contacts is hunted down and silenced.
The fiction that Assange's actions damaged US national security is just that - a fiction. What he really damaged was the ability of the US national security state to lie and murder with impunity. The very fact that alleged "intel" is now fed to us for propaganda purposes via the MSM puts the lie to the entire official narrative.
As Arthur Silber has observed, it's not about the intelligence. It's NEVER about the intelligence.
