Totally Missing The Point ???

Please read this report:

Then ask yourself which is the more reasonable solution:

1. Vaccinating everyone in Mexico; or

2. Preventing sick people from entering our country?

Back in the day, we all knew the answer to this question; e.g., that was one of the purposes of the facilities on Ellis Island. Today we seem to have no common sense at all.

Quote For The Day - 8/29/2019

"A failed state is a political body that has disintegrated to a point where basic conditions and responsibilities of a sovereign government no longer function properly. A state can also fail if the government loses its legitimacy even if it is performing its functions properly. For a stable state, it is necessary for the government to enjoy both effectiveness and legitimacy."

Sound familiar? It's not just the UK which meets this definition; we're rapidly getting there ourselves.

What Trump Should And Should Not Do

It's all contained in this analysis by Dr. Paul Craig Roberts:

Take note that US CEOs, who are chiefly responsible for the demise of our economy, are NOT getting blamed for what they have done (and continue to do). This may be because they bought up most of the so-called MSM, who have become their vassals and shills.

Little of this is Trump's fault, and I also doubt he is capable of fixing it. They (US CEOs) have managed to turn him into the ultimate patsy and scapegoat.

Bring Back The INF Treaty

Here is a good discussion of the INF Treaty, why Washington just cancelled it, and reasons why we should bring it back:

Does DC intend to launch a first strike on Russia? To do so would be madness, but it sure looks like that's what they intend to do. Here is further proof:

There are too many crazies in DC, and they appear to be totally out of control.

US At War With China

Here's a great interview with John Pilger in which he discusses the current state of affairs between the US and China:

Well worth your time.

Burning Up Our Rain Forests

And speaking of "apocalyptic events", the Amazon rain forest is burning:

As you may recall, the rain forests in Borneo burned in 2012:

At the time, it was estimated they contained more than 10% of all the plant, animal, and bird species in the world:

I don't particularly like Emmanuel Macron, but he does have a point - we are literally burning up our house. If we do not stop, we shall surely perish.

On the other hand, do we really think Bernie Sanders' plan will save us? You can read about it here:

As Ringo Starr once remarked, "everything government touches turns to crap". Turning the control of our future over to the US government sounds suicidal to me.

What do you think?

Time To Peddle Soylent Green ???

Here is an interesting piece about an article in Newsweek:

These are the very issues associated with soylent green. And should we continue to destroy our planet, this dog-eat-dog world will literally live up to its namesake.

Is Megan Confused ???

According to this report, a soccer star doesn't understand why her parents watch Fox News:

Let me help you, Megan - just because you disagree with someone does not mean you should stop listening to them. To do so would suggest becoming close minded.

You're not closed minded, are you Megan?

Whither BDS ???

According to this US Representative, we should consider Israel to be the equivalent of apartheid-era South Africa. She also suggests we should boycott Bill Maher's TV show:

If you recall, former President Jimmy Carter made similar claims about Israel:

Let's take this debate one step further ...

The UK has just stripped citizenship from a man who joined a terror group:

It could be argued that Israel's treatment of the Palestinians makes them (Israelis) "terrorists" as well. So why don't we strip US citizenship from those among us who also are Israeli citizens?

I bet THAT would get their attention.

The Dark Continent

Source -

In spite of its wealth of natural resources, Africa has not benefited much from modern technology.

I'm gonna go out on a limb and speculate the US and Europe had a lot to do with that, especially Belgium, France, and the UK.

Who Killed Epstein ???

As you may know, it seems Jeffrey Epstein may have been murdered in prison:

In case you didn't know, two of the persons who fit the description of 'John Doe No. 2' in the OKC bombing investigation ALSO were murdered while in federal custody. You can read about one of them here:

Yes, the feds DO murder people. Apparently the practice is relatively common.

By the way, why did Epstein have a portrait of Bill Clinton wearing a dress? You can read about that issue here:

If Epstein WAS murdered, shouldn't we look harder at what happened to Seth Rich?

And maybe also Vince Foster?

So Texas Needs Electricity ???

According to this report, Texas doesn't have enough generating capacity for electricity:

In a former life, I worked for a state agency involved in the authorization of new power plants in Texas. The state was ready at the time to build several more, but private equity firm KKR intervened, bought up the electric company, and made a deal to quash most of the new construction. You can read about it here:

So now Texans are whining about the heat? Guess what, boys and girls, you were screwed by the powers that be, and in today's climate (i.e., the Chicken Little climate change era) you've got a snowball's chance in hell of getting another coal-fired or nuclear plant built in Texas.

Are you happy now?

By the way, the TXU deal turned out to be crappy for KKR, too.

Why All The Hatred ???

An Ohio lawmaker made some controversial claims about the recent shooting in Dayton:

Is she right? I don't know, but consider this:

(1) A majority of young people think their lives are "meaningless". Why is that?

(2) The FBI is investigating whether "violent ideologies" played a role in the Dayton shooting. Isn't "American exceptionalism" a violent ideology in itself? After all, our chief (if not only) response to everything is to use coercion, starvation, and/or violence to bend people to our will (e.g., Iran, Iraq, Libya, Syria, etc.):

(3) Here's another example of our neighbors believing we should fight violence by using counter-violence:

(4) The anti-gun crowd appears to be among the most violent people in the country:

(5) Hollywood continues to pump violent images and impulses into our heads:

(6) Here are the results of a scientific study of mass shootings:

I think this finding (of the study) is the most revealing:

"Most mass public shooters are suicidal, and their crises are often well known to others before the shooting occurs. The vast majority of mass shooters leak their plans ahead of time."

We have been surveilled ad nauseam since 9/11, but somehow the watchers seem incapable of finding and stopping the next shooter. Why is that?

Either fix this glaring deficiency, or admit the surveillance state has NOTHING to do with public safety ... and dismantle it.

Things Politicians Don't Want Us To Know

Here are 10 things about the US economy which "our" politicians apparently don't want us to know:

These men and women have had DECADES to address such issues, but have done NOTHING of any consequence to fix them.

Just what do they think is going to happen?

Messing With Our Minds ???

According to this report, the US is developing ways of inserting messages into our heads using lasers:

As you may know, someone apparently has been messing with the minds of US diplomats residing in Cuba:

How do we know that it wasn't OUR government which is responsible for what happened in Cuba?

Before you dismiss this possibility, please recall what the US did as part of Project MKUltra:

If anything, the CIA is even MORE unaccountable today than they were back then. And if the Cuban phenomenon WAS an experiment, who better to conduct it and monitor the results than US "doctors" working with US subjects?
