Blockade Russia ???

Attempts to use the US Navy to block Russia’s trade would amount to a declaration of war, a high-ranking senator commented on the US internal secretary’s idea of impeding Russia’s energy trade through a blockade.

"A US blockade of Russia would be equal to a declaration of war under international law," said the head of the Russian Senate’s Information Policy Committee, Aleksey Pushkov, commenting on a report that US Internal Secretary Ryan Zinke suggested the US could use the navy to block Russian energy from hitting Middle East markets.

Dear Russia - They're NEVER going to let you go.

Face the facts: sooner or later the US and Russia will be at war. The only known unknowns are who will attack first, when, where, and how.

Thought For The Day - 9/30/2018

From Bill Bonner:

In the past, Supreme Court nominees weren’t asked how they treated their wives or what they got up to as teenagers. Many were probably cads or scoundrels; somehow, the Republic survived. One more rascal is not going to make any difference.

The real problem is that the Supreme Court has been derelict in its duty for the last 80 years.

It has failed to defend the Constitution against what Eisenhower called “unwarranted influence,” and what we call the Deep State.

And today, nobody who would pose a serious threat to the Deep State – Republican or Democrat – would be allowed anywhere near a seat on the court.

You can read the rest @

I could not agree more.

The US Constitution took a serious hit with the passing of the National Security Act of 1947. It was torn up and trampled underfoot with the passing of the Patriot Act of 2001.

And it's not coming back. The #MeToo and "the future is female" types will see to that.

Bye-bye, America. It was nice knowin' ya.

Prosperity From The Internet Of Things ???

con man tech icon says there will be "a new Internet, 'after Google', of limitless entrepreneurship and prosperity rooted in human creativity."

You can read all about it @

I think this is garbage.

We are headed for a global society with only four classes of people:
  • owners
  • creators
  • users
  • useless eaters

Only a select few will be owners, and they will indeed prosper. In fact, they'll be filthy rich.

Many of the creators will be AI "beings" or robots. Should we care whether or not they prosper?

Some of the users will indeed be prosperous, otherwise they could not afford to be users.

That leaves the "useless eaters", who will be the largest group by far (I would estimate at least 90% of all humanity). By no means will they prosper. They may not even have the means to survive.

So what is this con man tech icon talking about? His predictions only make sense if the owners and creators start SHARING what they own and create - but that is not happening and is unlikely to happen in the future without radical revisions to the global economic system. Merely implementing Blockchain transactions is nowhere near enough to make a difference.

Are We Doomed ???

Last month, deep in a 500-page environmental impact statement, the Trump administration made a startling assumption: On its current course, the planet will warm a disastrous 7 degrees by the end of this century.

A rise of 7 degrees Fahrenheit, or about 4 degrees Celsius, compared with preindustrial levels would be catastrophic, according to scientists. Many coral reefs would dissolve in increasingly acidic oceans. Parts of Manhattan and Miami would be under water without costly coastal defenses. Extreme heat waves would routinely smother large parts of the globe.

But the administration did not offer this dire forecast, premised on the idea that the world will fail to cut its greenhouse gas emissions, as part of an argument to combat climate change. Just the opposite: The analysis assumes the planet's fate is already sealed.

You can read the rest @

This is rather depressing. Is it going to be a self-fulfilling prophecy, or are they finally telling us the truth (i.e., that nothing we do is going to save us)?

If the UN claim is true ("if we do not change course in the next two years, we risk runaway climate change") and if Trump does nothing, does that mean he gets blamed for destroying the whole planet?

That's the problem with crying wolf too many times and with vilifying everything your opponent says - eventually no one believes you when you really need them to.

The Up Side Of Climate Change

Most of us will suffer because of climate change, but the wise may benefit from it. Isn't that what always happens when things change?

Reddit Censors 9/11 Dissent

A highly popular subreddit devoted to posting information which proposed information outside the official narrative to 9/11 has been “Quarantined” by the Reddit Administrators. The community has effectively been cut off from the rest of the platform and anyone who wishes to view its contents are forced to go through a checkpoint while being redirected to a government website.

On Thursday, the subreddit r/911truth was placed under a Reddit Quarantine. The Reddit Administrators claimed that the subreddit posts misinformation and then directed people seeking information on 9/11 to the official government website.

"It may contain a high degree of misinformation. If you are seeking historic information about the September 11 attacks, please visit the National Commission on Terrorist Attacks Upon the United States ("

You can read the rest @

This is astonishing. Almost NOTHING the US government says about 9/11 qualifies as "historic information". They got the date right, and that's about it.

I don't use Reddit, and now I probably never will. I had suspected that it was some sort of government tool (perhaps an involuntary and even unwitting one), and this action seems to confirm my suspicion.

DNA Storage On The Moon ???

The latest in preserving human civilization was announced on Thursday: an encyclopedia of images and data stored in DNA and shipped to the moon in 2020.

One of the alarming discoveries of the modern era is that data storage technologies, from VCR tapes to floppy disks, are becoming obsolete at an increasing clip. As the cost of genetic sequencing has decreased in the last two decades, some researchers have touted the DNA found inside living cells as the data storage material of the future.

"DNA is very durable, and we want data storage that will last on the scale of millions of years," Nova Spivack, venture capitalist and cofounder of the Arch Mission Foundation, told BuzzFeed News.

If we cannot get it together as a species and work out our problems here on Earth, then I see no point in leaving a record on the moon. No one else cares, and if the ETs took the time to study us they would do everything in their power to keep us from escaping our planet and contaminating the rest of the galaxy.

BS About San Onofre Waste Incident

This sensationalist report compares a recent incident at San Onofre nuclear plant to the accident at Chernobyl:

In a former life, I was chief engineer on a nuclear submarine and a trained senior reactor operator, and I have an MS degree in nuclear waste management. Here is what I think about this "report":

1. By definition, nuclear waste is not "toxic". It is "radioactive". Mixed waste can be both toxic and radioactive. Whoever wrote this report appears to be ignorant of the pertinent terminology.

2. If the waste was ready to transfer to dry storage, all the short term radionuclides had decayed away to a negligible level. To compare this waste to the Chernobyl accident, which released radionuclides from a core which had recently been critical AND was on fire, is absurd. Once again, the author of the report appears to be ignorant of the pertinent facts.

3. If the canister contained spent nuclear fuel, its fuel rods would still have been held inside rigid fuel assemblies, which are metal and have considerable strength. They may or may not have ruptured if the canister had fallen to the ground.

4. It is not clear why the canister would not just have slid down into the transport cask had the ledge given way.

5. It is not clear why Mr. Fritch did not identify this issue immediately to the people on the scene. I have been an independent safety observer for similar evolutions, and had there been immediate safety hazards I would not have waited for a news conference to address them.

Anyway ... that's my two five cents.

Question For 9/28/2018

From Dr. Paul Craig Roberts:

The real question before the American people is why are they, the media, the government, MeToo feminists, the Identity Politics Democrats and liberal-progressive-left, and conservatives stone silent while Washington enables Saudi Arabia to murder the Yemeni people to the point that Yemenis have to eat leaves in a desperate attempt to survive.

Clearly, the American idiots have no idea whatsoever what a moral issue is.

Use RICO To Stop The Resistance

There seems to be a pattern of agitation and confrontation aimed at Republican legislators and officials. Earlier it was Senator Cruz, and now it's Senator Flake:

As you may know, the RICO Statue has been used to prosecute peaceful protesters at abortion clinics. I now urge the Trump administration to use it to stop "The Resistance".

Would it fit the circumstances? Consider this:

A properly stated RICO claim in the Eighth Circuit must allege the following four elements: "(1) conduct (2) of an enterprise (3) through a pattern (4) of racketeering activity."

You can read the rest @

Let's examine each element in turn, as it is presented in the above citation:

(1) The first element of RICO is conduct. This element is extremely straightforward and rarely litigated in court. It simply requires the defendants who participated in the enterprise to carry out the directions of the enterprise.

I would say it's clear that all persons answering Maxine Waters' call to obstruct are so participating.

(2) An ‘enterprise’ is defined in 18 U.S.C section 1961 (4) to include “any individual, partnership, corporation, association, or other legal entity, and any union or group of individuals associated in fact although not a legal entity”.

I can ascertain a structure distinct from the conduct, can't you?

(3) ... the racketeering acts must "include a specific threat of repetition extending indefinitely into the future [or] . . . are part of an ongoing entity’s regular way of doing business."

I would say this is definitely the case, wouldn't you?

(4) The element of ‘racketeering activity’ is extremely broad. The statute includes kidnapping, gambling, arson, robbery, bribery, extortion, or a list of many other criminal statutes. The more common statutes include fraud, obstruction of law enforcement, forgery, and trafficking statutes.

Obstruction immediately comes to mind, and I suspect several other statutes may be involved.

So ... if I were a prosecutor I would seek an indictment today, or at the earliest opportunity. What the hell is stopping DOJ from doing the same? Is Sessions an idiot, one of the seditionists, or just in way over his head?

By the way, wouldn't it be ironic to use RICO in this manner against the very heartless clowns who used it against abortion protesters? I say stick it to 'em, because they really don't deserve our sympathy.

A Matter Of Jurisdiction

The aptly named Senator Flake wants the FBI to investigate Judge Kavanaugh:

Is sexual assault now a federal crime?

It seems to me the sheriff and/or police departments with jurisdiction in the locations of the alleged crime(s) are the ones who should be investigating. And apparently they haven't seen fit to do so. Why not? Has the statue of limitations passed?

Are we inventing new crimes without the benefit of legislation for the purpose of obstructing the appointment of judges and/or cabinet members whom the left does not like? What kind of BS is that?

I think the entire #MeToo/"the future is female" agenda is antidemocratic and smacks of a "Jim Crow" mentality, only this time the basis is gender rather than race.

What do you think?

Sore Losers, Again

Democrats are threatening to impeach Kavanaugh if he is confirmed to SCOTUS:

Q: Is the impeachment process intended for past acts, or for acts committed while the person holds the office from which he would be impeached?

A: That's a doozy of a question. I say it would only apply to past acts if he were tried and convicted of a crime related to such alleged past acts. And that is not likely to happen.

Hell, they haven't even convicted Weinstein and Spacey yet, and I thought there was PLENTY of evidence to back up the accusations against them.

These impeachment threats are just another way the seditionists intend to impede and destroy our government. As far as I am concerned, they can go to hell.

Trump's Biggest Supporter

Now Biggest Donor in all of US Politics, Sheldon Adelson Brings an Israel First Agenda to Washington

Orca Apocalypse ???

At least half of the world’s killer whale populations are doomed to extinction due to toxic and persistent pollution of the oceans, according to a major new study.

Although the poisonous chemicals, PCBs, have been banned for decades, they are still leaking into the seas. They become concentrated up the food chain; as a result, killer whales, the top predators, are the most contaminated animals on the planet. Worse, their fat-rich milk passes on very high doses to their newborn calves.

PCB concentrations found in killer whales can be 100 times safe levels and severely damage reproductive organs, cause cancer and damage the immune system. The new research analyzed the prospects for killer whale populations over the next century and found those offshore from industrialized nations could vanish as soon as 30-50 years.

When the ocean's die, we die. And the rivers of filth now flowing into them can hardly be stopped, without a COMPLETE revision in the way humans do business.

And since we do not have the will to combat climate change, I doubt we'll take on this struggle either.

Will This End The Slaughter In Yemen ???

Amid reports that civilian deaths have "surged dramatically" in Yemen since June, when the Saudi-led coalition launched an offensive to take control of the port city Hodeidah, Rep. Ro Khanna (D-Calif.) on Wednesday officially introduced a highly anticipated resolution invoking the War Powers Act of 1973, in hopes of ending American support for the coalition's attacks and the resulting humanitarian crisis.

I pray this works. But it probably will not stop the Saudis, Israelis, and their allies from continuing the slaughter. The only way to do that is to sanction them to the max, and no one in Congress has the balls to do that.

I pity the poor children of Yemen. What did they ever do to deserve this?

How Is The Donald Doing ???

Here is an assessment by Dr. Paul Craig Roberts:

When Trump saw how boxed in he was by the material interests of the ruling oligarchy, he decided to finish off Washington’s already diminishing influence. He appointed Nikki Haley as US ambassador to the UN, where she has done a superb job of alienating every country in the world. Trump has infuriated Europe with tariffs, sanction threats, and orders to Germany not to go forward with the Russian/German natural gas pipeline. Trump followed up by treating the UN Security Council on September 26 as Washington’s footstool. Trump with threats and sanctions is driving Turkey, Iran, India, China, and North Korea into Russia’s arms, and he is driving Europe into independence. In a stroke of genius, Trump, despite his thoroughly neoconservative regime, is destroying Washington’s hegemony.

We might never know whether this result is an unintended consequence of arrogance and hubris or whether it is a clever strategy. But if it turns out the way it seems to be heading, Trump will go down in history as Trump the Great, the man who saved the world by dismantling American hegemony.

You can read the rest @

Roberts is correct, in that Trump IS destroying US hegemony. But I'm not convinced this is something the powers that be OPPOSE. They could stop him if they wanted to, but they appear to be giving him all the rope he needs to hang us all. Why is that?

Remember USS Liberty

The fallout from Israel's recent treachery continues:

On the other hand, it is possible that the whole Israeli raid had been staged to down the reconnaissance plane and to leave the Russians without its real-time intelligence data. In 1967, the Israelis bombed and sunk the USS Liberty, an electronic spy ship, the then equivalent of Il-20, for they did not want to have foreign eyes and ears in the area. But then, there was an ongoing full-scale war between Israel and Egypt, and the USS Liberty had been attacked just before the planned Israeli invasion of the Syrian Golan Heights.

Could it be that Israelis expected an attack by France, England and the US upon Syria on that night, an attack that did not materialise thanks to the Russian-Turkish agreement on Idlib? There was a British plane and a French frigate in the vicinity, and a whole lot of American ships.

You can read the rest @

Dear Russia - I hope you finally realize that Israel is NOT your friend and NEVER will be your friend.

And I hope your admirals and generals will have the  fortitude to forcefully confront future Israeli aggression, unlike America's spineless military officers.

Not A Democracy

OMG - US Senators are "sparring" over the Kavanaugh nomination:

Here is what I detest about this entire charade:

Our form of government is a republic, not a democracy. The difference is that our elected officials are supposed to make the decisions, not the people at large.

Instead we now have a circus in which the MSM facilitates a feeding frenzy in which all rational debate has been thrown out the window. So we have neither a republic nor a democracy. It's either a mafiocracy or a kakistocracy run by the owners of the MSM and the other oligarchs.

And what about this MSM? They failed miserably in the way they handled the following:
  • Our political assassinations
  • Our military adventures
  • Our overthrow of foreign governments
  • The theft of our national wealth
  • The destruction of our national infrastructure
  • The entire 9/11 debacle
  • The perversion of our national psyche

In short, they assisted the deep state in the absolute ruin of our once great nation. And why? Apparently because they are paid well to do just that. Have you ever seen a poorly paid news anchor?

Facial Recognition Gone Awry ???

Investigators claim to have identified the Skripal poisoners:

This reminds me of the long-lived Putin memes:

Do you really believe that someone could identify GRU officers using open source documentation, without assistance from intelligence agencies?

The main reason I do not believe these claims is that the "researchers" also are credited with blaming the Ghouta gassing on Bashar al-Assad and the downing of MH-17 on Russia, both of which are complete BS.

An important aspect of our lives is how we determine what is true and what is false (i.e., our epistemology). I now argue that We the People have absolutely no reliable methods available to distinguish fact from fiction. And that means such decisions are now based on FAITH - faith in the source(s) of our alleged knowledge.

And I have absolutely no faith in the MSM, the government, or all the other propaganda agencies which spin such yarns day in and day out.

And by the way, this sort of bogus "investigation" (or something even more slipshod) is used to determine whom to kill using our drones or other military weapons. And it's also creeping into our so-called justice system. We should be resisting this with every fiber of our being.

Surprise !!! - Girls Attacking Boys

Who is more likely to be victimized by teen dating violence? If you’re quick to think it’s girls, new data shows you’re wrong. In a surprising twist, recently published research indicates boys are more likely to report being victims of dating violence committed by partners who hit, slap or push them.

I don't find this "surprising" at all. Society is urging girls to act in the manner we used to urge boys to act - aggressively and disrespectfully.

Trump''s Fake Opposition

The US Senate has just passed Trump’s mammoth military spending increase by a landslide 92–8 vote. The eight senators who voted “nay”? Seven Republicans, and Independent Bernie Sanders. Every single Democrat supported the most bloated war budget since the height of the Iraq war. Rather than doing everything they can to weaken the potential damage that can be done by a president they’ve been assuring us is a dangerous hybrid of equal parts Benedict Arnold and Adolf Hitler, they’ve been actively increasing his power as Commander-in-Chief of the most powerful military force the world has ever seen.

What Are We Teaching Our Kids ???

Watch this video to find out part of what our kids are being taught:

Then ask yourself this - what's the point of this "sex education"?

I know Austin is a weird place for weird people, but is it necessary to train ALL young kids this way in school? Shouldn't this be the parents' role?

NOTE WELL the speaker's comments that pastors and churches WOULD NOT help her spread the word to help resist this agenda. People, your church is failing you and your children.

Should We Believe A Swamp Creature ???

By now you may have seen this report about one of Kavanaugh's new accusers:

What I glean from it is that she is a nearly lifelong employee/contractor of the DC swamp. Isn't that the very kind of person who would be anti-Trump no matter what the evidence?

On those grounds alone, I would question her credibility.

By the way, I'm going to stop reading and commenting on the Kavanaugh controversy.

What will be will be, and unlike some I trust the Senate to do the right thing.

Who Is Tearing Whom Apart ???

According to this report, the US now "tears itself apart":

I don't see this as a nation tearing ITSELF apart. It's being torn apart intentionally by a veritable host of parties:
  • Trump, who nominated this bozo
  • The GOP, who did not vet him
  • The DNC, who would do anything to get back in power
  • The MSM, who are willing accomplices of the seditionists
  • The hosts of late night TV, who live in splendor from their smears

I'd like to make a comparison, with which you can do what you want:
  • In the case of Obama ad-Dajjal, multiple credible sources alleged he was NOT a natural born citizen. What happened? The accusers were smeared, vilified, and ultimately ignored. No meaningful official investigation was ever conducted.
  • But in the case of Kavanaugh, the claims of multiple sources are accepted at face value, almost to the point of sanctification. Multiple official and unofficial investigations are underway to support their claims and to find additional accusers.

Constitutionally, a person CANNOT be president unless they are a natural born citizen. However, a person CAN be a justice unless they are CONVICTED of a crime. So why did we bend over backward for Obama ad-Dajjal but are now viciously attacking Kavanaugh? Is it mainly because the former has no problem with human abortion while the latter does?

And by the way, LBJ also appears to have been a belligerent drunk rapist AND a murderer, but no one got this bent out of shape about him, did they? Why not? We only went after him when he started to draft us into the Army. Bill Clinton also appears to be a belligerent drug-addled rapist, but his so-called wife PROTECTED him. Why? To further her own political career? So maybe it really all is about self-interest.

I would have hoped we were a better people than that, but I guess I was wrong.

Can We Learn From Russia's Past ???

A century ago, the Russian people did not just wake up to an accidental Atheist takeover. Secular intellectuals had already infiltrated their schools, and when the universities changed, so did the minds and hearts of the people. To avoid a similar catastrophe today, every aspect of education needs to be centered around the Orthodox Christian Faith.

+ + + + + + + +

America, from the beginning, established her education through her Church. But as secular influences grew, schools were given up to secular organizations. When Christian education began to disappear from America, no second revolution needed to happen, simply because Revolutionary America never intended to maintain a Christian culture.

You can read the rest @

I don't think all Americans would accept the Orthodox Christian Faith, but I do know that without SOME religious faith our nation will fall into a pit from which we shall never emerge.

And we're VERY close to the edge of that pit. Our schools, universities, MSM, and the Internet of Things collectively preach apostasy and blasphemy to our children, so in effect we're all paying for religion to be driven from our culture.

This state of affairs reminds me of this scripture:

So he carried me away in the spirit into the wilderness: and I saw a woman sit upon a scarlet coloured beast, full of names of blasphemy, having seven heads and ten horns.
Revelation 17:3 KJV

Make no mistake - this scripture is talking about the United States and our blasphemous idol, the so-called "Statue of Liberty". It is our children and our neighbors who now are blaspheming against and rejecting G-d.

This will not end well, unless we repent and return to G-d and a Christianity-based education system.

What The ACLU Thinks About Kavanaugh

That description fits just about every major figure in the current Israeli government. If such a record is a threat here, why isn't it a threat there? Exactly whom does the ACLU represent?

Will EU Bypass SWIFT ???

In a stunning vote of "no confidence" in the US monopoly over global payment infrastructure, one month ago Germany’s foreign minister Heiko Maas called for the creation of a new payments system independent of the US that would allow Brussels to be independent in its financial operations from Washington and as a means of rescuing the nuclear deal between Iran and the west.

Writing in the German daily Handelsblatt, Maas said "Europe should not allow the US to act over our heads and at our expense. For that reason it’s essential that we strengthen European autonomy by establishing payment channels that are independent of the US, creating a European Monetary Fund and building up an independent Swift system," he wrote.

Maas said it was vital for Europe to stick with the Iran deal. "Every day the agreement continues to exist is better than the highly explosive crisis that otherwise threatens the Middle East," he said, with the unspoken message was even clearer: Europe no longer wants to be a vassal state to US monopoly over global payments, and will now aggressively pursue its own "SWIFT" network that is not subservient to Washington's every whim.

You can read the rest @

Et tu, Brute?

First Russia and the BRICS, then Iran, and now the EU - all want to get out from under the thumb of the US. Sooner or later, this movement will gain enough momentum that it will succeed. Then where will we be?

If the two systems do not overlap, will US citizens be cut out of global commerce and finance? That would be a fine kettle of fish.

Why Iran ???

A terrorist attack on a military parade targeting civilians and military personnel alike left at least 29 dead and up to 70 more wounded in Iran's southwest region of Ahvaz.

At the same time, in New York City, US political figures including US President Donald Trump's lawyer Rudolph Giuliani attended and expressed open support for "revolution" in Iran at the 2018 Iran Uprising Summit organized by Mojahedin-e Khalq (MEK).

MEK is a terrorist organization that has previously killed US service members and civilian contractors, but was removed from the US State Department's Foreign Terrorist Organizations list in order for the US to more openly and directly support the terrorist front's efforts to destabilize and overthrow the Iranian government.

You can read the rest @

If I were living in Iran, I would be tempted to call America "the Great Satan". From an Iranian perspective, such a description probably makes perfect sense.

Why is it that the US says "we don't negotiate with terrorists" when such a claim is clearly a lie? The evidence shows that many terrorist groups are in the employ of Uncle Sam. In certain cases, they seem to be our weapon of choice.

Our penchant for overthrowing foreign governments after World War Two gained momentum with the Truman Doctrine:

With the Truman Doctrine, President Harry S. Truman established that the United States would provide political, military and economic assistance to all democratic nations under threat from external or internal authoritarian forces. The Truman Doctrine effectively reoriented U.S. foreign policy, away from its usual stance of withdrawal from regional conflicts not directly involving the United States, to one of possible intervention in far away conflicts.

Source -

Its misapplication in Iran shows how hollow that doctrine was (and is).

In my lifetime Iran has been threatened by at least two internal authoritarian forces - the Shah, and the ayatollahs. We heartily supported the one, but violently detest the other. Why? Apparently because any time "democracy" breaks out somewhere, the locals decide they don't want the US to plunder their country. Such a desire is then labelled 'communism', 'terrorism', or some other such nonsense by the US, giving Uncle Sam a pretext to wage undeclared war on such a rebellious people and to eventually install an authoritarian regime which will serve as a US puppet.

Why Iran? They want to be independent, and they stand in the way of US hegemony. Have we ever needed another reason?

Quote For The Day - 9/25/2018

"We live in a society whose whole policy is to excite every nerve in the human body and keep it at the highest pitch of artificial tension, to strain every human desire to the limit and to create as many new desires and synthetic passions as possible, in order to cater to them with the products of our factories and printing presses and movie studios and all the rest."
Thomas Merton

That was written 70 years ago. Imagine how truer it is today.

What Social Media Reveals About Us

Selena Scola moderated content for Facebook as an employee of contractor Pro Unlimited, Inc. between June 2017 and March of this year, according to her complaint.

"Every day, Facebook users post millions of videos, images, and livestreamed broadcasts of child sexual abuse, rape, torture, bestiality, beheadings, suicide, and murder," the lawsuit reads. "To maintain a sanitized platform, maximize its already vast profits, and cultivate its public image, Facebook relies on people like Ms. Scola – known as “content moderators” – to view those posts and remove any that violate the corporation’s terms of use."

The issue here is not just Facebook, it's what WE have become. How did we become obsessed with all these images of filth and violence?

I say shut it down. Shut them all down. Return the Internet to its original function, which (as I understand it) was to allow researchers at various universities to communicate with each other. The rest has become an abomination.

Is This How To Cull The Human Herd ???

Scientists have killed a whole population of malaria-carrying mosquitoes in their lab by using modified genes that make the killer insects infertile.

Researchers at London's Imperial College used “gene drive” technology to spread a genetic modification that blocks female reproduction while letting male mosquitoes continue to spread those altered genes.

The results, published Monday in the journal Nature Biotechnology, represent the first time gene drive has completely suppressed a population, according to an article from Imperial College.

I'm thrilled they're trying to eliminate malaria, but this technology could be used to exterminate almost ANY population, including humans. And it could do so intentionally, or maybe even accidentally if it somehow escaped from the laboratory.

Yes, I'll admit that ANY technology can be either good or bad. But ask yourself this - when did scientists EVER decide NOT to pursue a line of research because it might have a harmful outcome?

Another Exodus From Facebook

Two more high level execs at Facebook have resigned:

Instagram cofounders Kevin Systrom and Mike Krieger are leaving the company they created. Late Monday, the pair abruptly announced that they were stepping down as the chief executive and chief technical officer of the social network. Facebook, which found out about their decision yesterday, were blindsided by the announcement, sources familiar with the matter told BuzzFeed News.

In a statement, Systrom wrote, “We’re planning on taking some time off to explore our curiosity and creativity again ... We remain excited for the future of Instagram and Facebook in the coming years as we transition from leaders to two users in a billion.”

Systrom and Krieger founded Instagram in 2010 and sold it to Facebook for $1 billion in 2012. As of this summer, Instagram had 1 billion monthly active users.

This isn’t the only recent exit of a high-profile founder of a company acquired by Facebook. Recently, the founders of WhatsApp, bought by Facebook in 2014, both left the company after reportedly clashing with Facebook executives over privacy issues.

In spite of its claims to the contrary, Facebook apparently doesn't give a damn about user privacy.

Here is what I would like to know - why did the founders of WhatsApp and Instagram have these alleged crises of conscience AFTER getting their money from Facebook and not BEFORE? Didn't they know what they were getting into, or did the lure of big bucks overcome all other considerations?

By the way, here are two other companies which may not care much about privacy concerns:

To me this is really scary. Once such companies get your data (by whatever means), they can monetize it with little or no financial benefit to you or me.

Tulsi For President 2020

On September 13, Hawaii Congresswoman Tulsi Gabbard took to the floor of the House to rebuke the administration, accusing President Trump and Vice President Mike Pence of protecting “al-Qaeda and other jihadist forces in Syria,” all the while “threatening Russia, Syria, and Iran, with military force if they dare attack these terrorists.”

“This,” continued Gabbard, “is a betrayal of the American people, especially the victims of Al Qaeda’s attack on 9/11 and their families, first responders, and my brothers and sisters in uniform who have been killed or wounded in action and their families. For the President, who is Commander in Chief, to act as the protective big brother of al-Qaeda and other jihadists must be condemned by every Member of Congress.”

Representative Tulsi Gabbard and Senator Rand Paul seem to be among the few people in Congress who have figured out what is going on and who are not on Israel's payroll. I would be happy to support either of them for president in 2020. The public already rejected Senator Paul for that office, but perhaps they'll get behind Tulsi.

One can only hope.

US Water Wars Have Begun

And here is a good example:

Does Los Angeles have the right to destroy habitat and the livelihoods of families, friends and neighbors who have lived here for generations? They may not have the "right", but they sure as hell have the power.

And as climate change unfolds, we can expect that MANY more such choices and impositions are going to be made.

Water is life, and the US brought native Americans to the brink of extinction by driving them away from their sources of water. They'll soon be doing the same to the rest of us.

Our Post-Truth World

Long ago, I made the following assertion:

In America, the wages of truth is death.

Here is a wonderful essay confirming that assertion from Dr. Paul Craig Roberts:

I urge you to read it in its entirety. I doubt you'll find such candor from too many other sources.

Trade War Reality Check

Sometime between 2020-2025, every Chinese will have a home, a job, plenty of food, education, safe streets, health and old age care. On that day there will be more homeless, poor, hungry and imprisoned people in America than in China and 450,000,000 urban Chinese will have higher net worth and more disposable income than the average American. Their mothers and infants will be less likely than ours to die in childbirth, their children will graduate from high school three years ahead of – and outlive – ours. If China wins the trade war and the world’s hearts and minds, it’s pretty much game over, almost by default.

Woe is us !!!

By the way, the powers that be (TPTB) are whining NOT about this reality but about who assaulted whom in high school. Don't we have more important things to worry about?

If I didn't know any better, I would say TPTB really don't care what happens to this country as long as their power and privilege remains more or less intact.

Size Of The Big Banks

I'm not sure which bank is which, but clearly most of them got bigger since the crash. The Chinese banks got a LOT bigger.

Apparently this is not a good thing.

S-300s To Syria

It's about time !!!

It appears Israel has paid a huge price for last week's attack on Syria which led to the accidental "friendly" fire downing of a Russian reconnaissance plane with 15 personnel on board as the door could now be forever shut on striking targets in Syria with impunity. The Russian Ministry of Defense (MoD) has announced plans to deliver its advanced S-300 air defense system to Damascus within two weeks.

Prior plans to deliver the system, which is considered vastly more effective and can strike at a greater range than Syria's current S-200 and others, were nixed after Israeli threats that delivery would constitute a "red line" for which Israel must act.

The Russian MoD acknowledged this and said the situation has "changed" upon announcing its intent to follow through on what Syria has already purchased: “In 2013 on a request from the Israeli side we suspended the delivery to Syria of the S-300 system, which was ready to be sent with its Syrian crews trained to use it,” the MoD statement said.

If I were the Russians, I would shoot down EVERY plane which violates Syrian airspace. And I'd be sorely tempted to attack the airfields they came from, too.

Now We're At War With Venezuela ???

The United States is preparing to take “action” against socialist Venezuela, while simultaneously going down the same path. U.S. Secretary of State Mike Pompeo said that in the coming days, the US’s “series of actions” will put pressure on the Venezuelan government.

“You’ll see in the coming days a series of actions that continue to increase the pressure level against the Venezuelan leadership folks, who are working directly against the best interest of the Venezuelan people,” Pompeo said according to Reuters. “We’re determined to ensure that the Venezuelan people get their say.”

Why can't we just leave these people alone?

Jeez !!!

Trump Is A Coward

Here, apparently, is Trump's latest "excuse" for not confronting the deep state:

US President Donald Trump says "key allies" have asked him not to release classified FBI documents related to the probe into Russian influence in the 2016 presidential election, raising speculation the Australian government could be exposed.

Key allies in what? Killing our imaginary enemies? Plundering the resources of third world countries?

I have yet to meet an Australian who by my standards is doing anything beneficial for the USA. And if they're screwing with our elections, then I say "to hell with them".
