The "open borders" enthusiasts are claiming that quarantines don't work - the bugs will get out somehow. That may be true, but that's not the real issue for us.
There is NOTHING in Southeast Asia which is ESSENTIAL for people in the US to exist and thrive. We could exist and thrive even if ALL TRAFFIC between there and here was suspended. What's more important to you, the "right" of unrestricted travel and the flow of goods and services, or the need to take all measures to be protected from a fatal disease?
