Bullshit. We could have been friends with Iran, but thanks to bad advice from people like the Israelis they are now our worst enemies.
There is absolutely no upside to ANY strife or warfare between the US and Iran, other than things which benefit Israel and Saudi Arabia. I say leave Iran to them.
It's time we pull away from this tar baby and let others take over. Let the Russians broker a peace in the region if they want.
