This "report" by The Intercept addresses the violence in Chicago and Trump's response to it:
https://theintercept.com/2017/02/02/chicago-needs-police-reform-not-trumps-national-guard-an-interview-with-jamie-kalven/
But a careful read reveals that the author is covering for Mayor Rahm Emanuel's failures. Emanuel has had PLENTY of time to deal with this issue, but he seems to be too much of a coward to take on the Chicago Police Department.
If all The Intercept plans to do now is bash Trump and cover up everyone else's failures, they become just another tentacle of the MSM. They claim to have the following mission:
The Intercept is dedicated to producing fearless, adversarial journalism. We believe journalism should bring transparency and accountability to powerful governmental and corporate institutions, and our journalists have the editorial freedom and legal support to pursue this mission.
How can we believe that if their coverage becomes as one sided as that of The New York Times?
