Pardons - Manning Vs. Azaria

Yesterday the US was in a tizzy because Obama ad-Dajjal commuted the sentence of former soldier Chelsea/Bradley Manning.

And as you may have heard, Israel also is in a tizzy over the possible pardoning of Elor Azaria. If this is new to you, you can read about it here:

It seems strange to me that we should be so upset about freeing Manning. I believe he was motivated by a desire to right an injustice (several, actually), and it's sad that many of us don't see it that way.

In the case of Azaria, however, what injustice was he trying to right - that Israel is being too compassionate toward the Palestinians? I agree with Mr. Baroud that Israel is moving in a direction which will result in the displacement and/or killing of MANY more Palestinians.

Is that just? Do you think that is what G-d wants? I don't. If you do, please quote for me the parts of the Bible/Torah on which your opinion is based.
