I have read Orwell's work and Huxley's as well. And it is clear to me that US totalitarianism and fascism would exist no matter who is president. It is corporations and the deep state who have driven us in this direction, and Trump is merely the latest figurehead to have risen to the top of our festering garbage heap. This goes way back, to the advent of the national security state in 1947, and perhaps earlier.
For a good comparison of the difference between Orwell's philosophy and that of Huxley's, read this. I think you will agree that Huxley's predictions are very close to what we have become:
