Boo-Hoo, Google

Google is upset with one of Trump's executive orders:

“We’re upset about the impact of this order and any proposals that could impose restrictions on Googlers and their families, or that could create barriers to bringing great talent to the US,” Mr. Pichai said in the email. “It’s painful to see the personal cost of this executive order on our colleagues.”

If there is one thing we have learned in the Internet age, it's that you do not have to be physically located somewhere to have a presence. Anything "Googlers and their families" or this so-called "great talent" can do here they can do in their native lands.

By the way, is Google after "great talent" or "cheap workers"?

In case you wondered how Trump can do this, read the following federal statue:

8 US Code § 1182 (f) Suspension of entry or imposition of restrictions by President
Whenever the President finds that the entry of any aliens or of any class of aliens into the United States would be detrimental to the interests of the United States, he may by proclamation, and for such period as he shall deem necessary, suspend the entry of all aliens or any class of aliens as immigrants or nonimmigrants, or impose on the entry of aliens any restrictions he may deem to be appropriate.

It may ultimately be determined that this law is unconstitutional, but for now what Trump is doing is completely legal.

By the way, this law was in effect BEFORE Trump took office. Why are the crazies only complaining about it now?
