Here in a nutshell is what is wrong with US business these days.
Yahoo CEO Marissa Mayer is EXTREMELY well paid:
Yahoo compensated CEO Marissa Mayer with $42.1 million in 2015, mostly due to stock and option awards, according to a regulatory filing on Friday.
Mayer's compensation soared 69 percent year-over-year, even though Yahoo shares sunk 34 percent in 2015.
None of Yahoo's primary executives earned a bonus in 2015, but that's largely been the case over the past three years. Mayer earned a $1 million salary, $11.8 million in stock awards, $28.2 million in options and $1.1 million through a nonequity incentive plan.

And apparently her upcoming severance package will be worth another $55 million:
Yahoo’s chief executive, Marissa Mayer, will walk away with a $55 million severance package if the company’s auction of its Internet operations culminates in a sale that ousts her from her job.
The payout, which was disclosed in a regulatory filing on Friday with the Securities and Exchange Commission, would consist of cash, stock awards and other benefits if she is forced out within a year after a sale.

So ... almost $100 million in two years.
For doing what? Have you looked at Yahoo lately? I don't see anything there worth that kind of money for just one person, do you? I wouldn't pay that much for the whole company.
