A policeman shot and killed a 93 year old woman in Texas because she had a gun:

He shot her 5 times, apparently to make certain she was dead. Now ... she was "waving" the gun, but that's a lot different than pointing it at someone.
Is it open season on old people? Or do well-armed, often armor-wearing cops really feel threatened by old farts who probably never even fired a gun?

By the way, Hearne is about 75 miles from where I live. I've driven through there on the way to Shreveport, but I don't remember much about it.
I think I'll take a different route next time. Trigger-happy cops worry me.
