The Politics Of Breastfeeding

It's your baby, and I have no problem with whatever you choose to do.

However, I would like to point out something I consider to be quite important:

• When you breastfeed your baby, the initial colostrum you provide helps your baby's immune system develop in the manner that allowed us to survive on this planet for millions of years.
• If you choose not to breastfeed, your baby's immune system will develop in a manner determined by pharmaceutical corporations and government bureaucrats, none of whom care in the least (aside from the profit motive) whether you or your baby live or die.
