Perhaps this is why the Pentagon refuses to give up on the F-35 ... because Israel wants them. And guess who is footing the bill?

By the way, how hard could it be for the Israelis to make them "combat-ready"? None of their intended targets have any meaningful air combat assets, and just about any airframe is capable of shooting fish in a barrel (e.g., Gaza).
I don't know about you, but I am sick and tired of paying to arm these monsters.
