The United States has been in a state of war for most of its existence (see http://www.globalresearch.ca/america-has-been-at-war-93-of-the-time-222-out-of-239-years-since-1776/5565946).
What has all that warfare achieved? Freedom? Security? Wealth? Respect?
I would argue that we have none of these things. Not any more.
But I know this will not stop the next impending war. I doubt anything will. War is what we do, and we're not going to change now.
