CIA drug trafficking?

There have been credible reports for years that the CIA is trafficking in drugs, but the American public somehow doesn't want to believe:

Instead we believed the senile lies of Ronald Reagan; we let Ollie North go; we didn't want to know that our own government and its minions might be dealing drugs to "their own" people. We covered our ears, and we closed our minds.

Believe what you want, but one thing's for certain: the people in our inner cities do not own the boats, planes, and trucks that deliver this poison to their neighborhoods; they do not own the banks that launder the money; they do not run the prisons that incarcerate the victims; and they do not benefit in any way from the trafficking that is destroying their bodies, their families, and their way of life.

Only Uncle Sam has the power to do that.
