Babel: Punishment or protection?

What really happened during the so-called “Tower of Babel” incident?

And the whole earth was of one language, and of one speech.
And it came to pass, as they journeyed from the east, that they found a plain in the land of Shinar; and they dwelt there.
And they said one to another, Go to, let us make brick, and burn them thoroughly. And they had brick for stone, and slime had they for morter.
And they said, Go to, let us build us a city and a tower, whose top may reach unto heaven; and let us make us a name, lest we be scattered abroad upon the face of the whole earth.
And the Lord came down to see the city and the tower, which the children of men builded.
And the Lord said, Behold, the people is one, and they have all one language; and this they begin to do: and now nothing will be restrained from them, which they have imagined to do.
Go to, let us go down, and there confound their language, that they may not understand one another's speech.
So the Lord scattered them abroad from thence upon the face of all the earth: and they left off to build the city.
-Genesis 11:1-8 KJV

To put the story in a modern context, substitute “the United States of America" or "globalism” for the one language aspect and substitute “the space program” or “the singularity” for the tower.

God does not like to be disobeyed or threatened. When humanity joins together in things that defy God or encroach upon His authority, He acts. But notice that He did not destroy us at Babel; He merely confounded our language and scattered us. This was similar to what happened when we were cast from the Garden of Eden: God did not destroy us that time either, but He placed a barrier between us and the tree of life to defuse that particular crisis.

The globalists of today are trying to repeat the Tower of Babel incident, in the hope that this time humanity will remain unified and will "win". Or perhaps it would be more appropriate to say so that this time Satan can win. What do you think God will do as the new "tower" approaches and threatens His realm? We will be lucky if all He does is confound or scatter us again.

The globalists of today are engaged in the destruction of nations. The Bible clearly states that the nations will still exist in the Kingdom of God. So, in helping the globalists what are we doing: God’s will or Satan’s?

Stop following the new Nimrods named Obama ad-Dajjal and Hillary the Harpy, and stop being Satan's puppets.
