Observation: This is similar to how the virus destroyed the world's economies and societies, by sending out tentacles which wrapped around everything in sight.
Question: Have such tentacles been seen before, and if not how did such a thing just happen to pop up via natural evolutionary processes?
Another Question: Does this claim make sense - "these are highly efficient, evolutionarily-tuned machines"? Was their efficiency tuned in the wild, or in a laboratory?
Suggestion: There appear to be two chief strategies which might help prevent the next pandemic - (1) Stop doing gain of function experiments, and (2) curtail international travel.
