An Adult Case Of AFM

An adult male in Wisconsin has been diagnosed with AFM:

The average age of the patients in all confirmed cases over the past five years is just 4 years old, and more than 90% of the cases overall occur in children 18 and younger, according to analysis of cases reported in recent years.

One thing I have NOT seen is whether anyone OUTSIDE of the US has this disease. If not, that would tell us something about potential causes.

By the way, do you think it strange that neither the linked report nor the video states his age? I do.

  1. Apparently he is 30 years old and has other afflictions:

"Adam also has asthma and Crohn's disease, a serious inflammatory bowel disease that is caused by an abnormal immune reaction. To treat the Crohn's disease, Adam was taking immune-suppressing medication that might have increased his risk of developing acute flaccid myelitis."

'Abnormal immune reaction'? It sounds like vaccine injury is a likely cause to me. Are we going to ignore this possibility until we're all paralyzed?

  2. Here is a recent viral-related death associated with Crohn's Disease:

Immune suppression seems to be a common factor.
