I keep reading that we are headed towards wars that nobody wants. Here are two of the latest examples:

The basic premise of such essays is crap. If we didn't want these wars we'd do something to prevent them; like maybe diplomacy.
Clearly SOMEONE wants these wars. In the two cases above, I would suspect the culprits to be the US deep state and whatever powers are supporting the nation of Israel. Both appear to absolutely ABHOR the possibility that peace could break out and prevent an almost certain slaughter.
By the way, I urge you to take the writings of Mr. Kagan with a hearty grain of salt. It is my belief that he and his wife, Victoria Nuland, both are unrepentant warmongers whose publications and actions are highly detrimental to the United States.
Here is a related example:

Any thinking person should have known that the "war on terror" was not only unnecessary but total BS as well. The people who allegedly attacked us were our employees (al-Qaeda) and our so-called allies (the Saudis). And yet in response we killed or displaced millions who were absolutely no threat to us.
Lieberman's departure may be a good first step:

But not if his replacement doesn't want peace.
