This is one of the few things from Google I can agree with.
In fact, science and technology have CAUSED many of our problems, such as global warming, widespread chemical pollution of air-water-soil, nuclear waste, poverty, famine, etc. And we're unlikely to "tech" ourselves out of any of them.
