It seems to me they got it backwards. "Economic growth" is one of the chief CAUSES of climate change. Not only is such growth damaging to our planet, it does little or nothing to benefit We the People.
And there really is no alternative in sight. Anything other than disaster capitalism is labeled as "bad" for us, and no one can prove otherwise. Not a good situation to be in.
