A national economy, embedded as it is in a global web of supply chains and financial obligations, may or may not be in a stable condition. I think ours is far more fragile than it might be, and I don't believe our "leaders" know how to strengthen it. Really, how many people in Congress or the administration have successfully run a major business or financial institution? Few if any.
