Losing The Great Game

As you may have heard, RCEP has defeated the TPP. If not, you can read about it here:

"Make Trade, Not War" makes a hell of a lot more sense than the US alternative.

And while China fosters regional (and perhaps global) cooperation, what has the US been doing? Sowing chaos at home and abroad. How is THAT a winning strategy?

Ask yourself this - exactly what do we have to trade? Financial "services"? Intellectual "property"? Why would anyone want those when they serve mostly the interests of US elites instead of those upon whom they're imposed by coercive means (e.g., sanctions, embargos, threats of military force)?

I can already feel some of you arguing that we're a "democracy" while China is a "dictatorship". Well, that's just the pot calling the kettle black, and if things go the way they seem it's the US which soon (if not already) will be the next great totalitarian state willing to crush all its dissenters:

Face it - the "pivot to Asia" failed; Trump failed; and from what I read about the crew Biden is bringing with him to the White House, we will continue to fail:

We may be living through the death throes of our republic. Let's hope we're not also going to see the total destruction of our currency and our economy as well.
