Iran is building uncrewed underwater vehicles (UUV) - submarine drones, if you will:

No doubt they will be aimed at US aircraft carriers and other naval vessels.
Did we unwittingly help them design these subs?
I was at the submarine base in New London, CT when the Iranian revolution occurred, and there were Iranian crews visiting the base at the time to take delivery of diesel submarines sold to them by the US. Granted, that was old technology, but it gave them everything they needed to reverse engineer it and create UUV of their own.
And, of course, we trained them how to operate the subs, too.
