A Drug Conundrum

Let's compare two on-going situations:

(1) Time and again, we hear that hydroxychloroquine has been used to save the lives of COVID-19 patients. Here is one the latest examples:

https://www.thegatewaypundit.com/2020/05/80-patients-staff-members-come-coronavirus-texas-nursing-home-hydroxychloroquine-treatment-saves-1-patient/

(2) But BigPharma wants us to use Remdesivir instead, in spite of the fact it does not appear to be anywhere near as effective:

https://usa.greekreporter.com/2020/05/02/us-approves-remdesivir-for-coronavirus-treatment/

Why is this? Here are two possibilities, and I'm sure there are others:
  • More money can be made by pushing Remdesivir; and
  • His comments about hydroxychloroquine can be used to damage Trump's credibility.

Monetizing, politicizing, and/or weaponizing a pandemic are some of the dumbest things we could possibly do, but all three appear to be front and center in the strategies being pursued by TPTB. You may not like Trump, but I can almost guarantee that his successor will be even worse.

Update 5/3/2020

Read this report to see why Remdesivir is "probably worthless" and appears to have obtained FDA approval via shady means:
