Here is a report about bridge building in China:
https://www.nytimes.com/2017/06/10/world/asia/china-bridges-infrastructure.html
The report claims that some of these projects have led to debt and corruption.
Were we to be honest with ourselves, we would admit that many of the so-called "bridges" built by the US also have led to serious debt and corruption. Should you seek proof of this assertion, read Confessions of an Economic Hit Man by John Perkins.
And by the way, when Trump or whoever starts to rebuild US infrastructure, you can expect billions (perhaps trillions) of debt and corruption. I doubt any large project could be undertaken in the US without them. Should you seek proof of THIS assertion, ask Toshiba how they're doing with those nuclear power plant projects in the US.
