Can Aircraft Replace Automobiles ???

Here is a report about electric aircraft which could replace autos:

I think this is a VERY cool idea.

But I have some reservations:

1. Can these ever be affordable?
2. Will they be safe?
3. How will the electricity be generated?

Address these issues, and we'll all be taking off.

By the way, I'd really LOVE to fly one of these through the Grand Canyon.
