Are Jackie Chan's comments in this regard merely "anti-American", or are they basically correct?

Is the accumulation of vast wealth by the one percent the result of "corruption" or are they just that much better than the rest of us? Bernie Madoff went to jail, but what about the other crooks? Are they still free because of "corruption" or because they did no wrong?
