Life after Chernobyl

Wildlife is thriving at Chernobyl:

This suggests two things to me:
  • Humans are the biggest threat to life on this planet, and
  • Following our inevitable nuclear war, life will go on. We won't, but life will.

By the way, I once worked in a lab with contaminated soil from Chernobyl. The lab had the highest radiation level in the entire complex, but (at least so far) I didn't suffer any ill effects.
