Journalists In Prison

Almost every day I see a report like this one of journalists being maltreated in Chinese, Iranian, or Russian jails:

But apparently no one in the Five Eyes nations really cares about one of the most important journalists in the world, Julian Assange, who is slowly being tortured to death in a UK prison:

I agree with Galloway - we have allowed the criminals to make criticism of their crimes a crime in itself. And in doing so, we've let yet another of our constitutional protections get flushed down the toilet.

In many ways, I'm beginning to see little difference left between China and the US. What do you think?
