Another Gulf Of Tonkin Incident

Does this sound familiar? It should if you are a member of my generation:

Reports on Saturday night that the USS Mason came under attack for the third time in less than a week off the coast of Yemen were quietly rolled back by the Pentagon, who have since noted they aren’t really sure about that, and reiterated today that they are still “assessing” the claim.

Reports following the “attack” and the warship’s “retaliation” indicated that the Pentagon believed there was a strong possibility that no missiles were fired at the ship at all, and the detection of the missiles was the result of a radar malfunction.

In 1964 the US Navy claimed the Vietnamese had fired upon the USS Maddox. It was known almost immediately that no such attack had taken place, yet the US used the event as a pretext for starting the Vietnam War. Apparently the same type of lying, warlike morons are running our military today.

If you doubt my claim, please read the book Secrets by Daniel Ellsberg, one of the few honest witnesses to the decision making process at the time.

How many more innocent people have to die because of BS like this?
