According to The Intercept, the US has a teacher shortage because of President Trump's immigration policies:

I think this is absolute nonsense. The US produces thousands of graduates every year with degrees which would allow them to teach. Why aren't THEY being hired for these open positions?
Seeking ever cheaper immigrant labor cannot solve our problems. We MUST create a society and an economy which enable people to earn a living wage. If we don't or can't, the US is toast.
