A Declaration Of War ???

I'm sure you've heard of the recent cyberattack. If not, you can read about it here:

https://news.antiwar.com/2020/12/17/senators-liken-hack-to-russian-invasion-despite-lack-of-proof-moscow-was-involved/

Was this "a declaration of war" or just another attempt to drive a wedge between the public and Donald Trump?

If you leave the back door to your house unlocked and open, who is to blame for the inevitable theft - the "thief" or the owner of the house? If our cyber security is THAT bad, I think the focus should be on better protecting our important data ... NOT on "retaliation" against anybody.

What do YOU think?

By the way, why should ANYTHING at the NNSA be connected to the Internet?

Update - 12/19/2020

Don't know why I didn't see this before:

Perhaps this giant "hack" and the surrounding publicity are intended to shield what actually happened; i.e., the DNC stole the election, but now with the "hack" we can blame all the irregularities on the Russians, Chinese, etc.

Isn't this exactly what was done following the 2016 election, when we were told (without proof) that the Russians "hacked" the DNC servers?

Are we really this gullible?

Update - 12/20/2020

Apparently our abysmal IT security problems have been caused by the purchase of defective software:

https://www.politico.com/news/2020/12/19/how-federal-hack-happened-448602

Are they really this incompetent? Apparently they are.

And BTW, the mRNA vaccines are another example of "untested software". Do we really want this stuff in our bodies, where it can make irreversible changes? I sure don't.
