I tend to agree with the "escaped from the lab" part. What do you think?
This should not be considered just a blame game. Don't you think it important to stop such research if it cannot be done safely?
Why did the US and Canada fund it if they knew it was so dangerous? Did they think that by funding experiments in China they could shift all the risk to the Chinese?

One has to wonder, though, why the Chinese apparently don't want anyone to study the origins of the virus. If they KNOW the lab had nothing to do with it, wouldn't they be more open to such studies?
