By the way, there was a similar Jesus-like figure who appeared in the West Hazleton, PA area many years ago. I was working in the area around that time, but missed the opportunity to see him by a few months. Although he was welcomed by some, he apparently was reviled by others.
Realistically, in spite of all our churches Jesus would be no more welcome in "official" USA than he was in the Holy Land of His time:
