This article asks whether we're ready for "a socialist President":

This question seems to ignore at least two important facts:
1. All of FDR's "New Deal" programs were socialist, and very popular.
2. LBJ's "War on Poverty" was socialist, and also popular.
The "voters" who DON'T like socialism are the rich, who don't want to be taxed to pay for it ... and the middle class, who realize they'll be the ones who pay for it, since the rich don't ever pay for anything.
Ask yourself this - is socialism really unworkable, or does it fail because the organs of state controlled by the rich FORCE it to fail?
Here is another example of what I mean - is Venezuela in financial trouble because of "socialism", or because of US sanctions and other interference in their affairs?
