Think how many more jobs we would have if these products were made here. And P-G is just one company among many who offshored their supply chains.
The only "benefit" from globalisation of the world's economy is the ability of the rich to pay as little as possible to source their products while selling them where they make the most profit.

It would be nice if COVID-19 disruption became our wakeup call, but I tend to doubt it. We're too deep in the coma which is keeping us trapped in this miserable system to do anything to extract ourselves from it.
By the way, once those supply chains are restored, how many of them will become pipelines for transmission of the virus all over the planet? After all, very few of these products are sterile.
