According to reports such as this one, our planet's magnetic pole has been moving quickly:

Will the field reverse polarity? And if it does, what will happen to us?
By the way, maps such as the one shown in this report always show the "north" pole. I assume the "south" magnetic pole is moving in a similar fashion. If not that would REALLY be weird.
