How The MSM Smears People

By now you may have heard of the incident involving Nathan Phillips in which he confronted high school boys from Covington Catholic in front of the Lincoln Memorial. Frankly, it's been difficult to escape.

Here is something you may NOT have noticed about Nate:

(1) His friend Leonard Peltier, one of our native American political prisoners, describes Nate in glowing terms as a respected tribal elder:

(2) Some elements of the MSM, on the other hand, tell us that Nate has a shady, criminal past:

Our lives are an open book. Somewhere there is a record of everything we have ever done, both good and bad. Too often, the MSM completely ignores the good and uses the bad to smear people for reasons known only to them.

Bottom line - Nate seems to have succumbed to many of the pitfalls encountered by native Americans living in the USA. Does that make him a bad person? It may seem that way to us, but not to his people. And that is probably all that matters to him.
