Rep. O'Rourke said the following during a recent interview:
"Can an empire like ours with military presence in over 170 countries around the globe, with trading relationships ... and security agreements in every continent, can it still be managed by the same principles that were set down 230-plus years ago?"

So ... we're now "an empire", not a republic? And the principles set down in our constitution are somehow outdated? I more or less agree with the former claim, but vehemently disagree with the latter.
O'Rourke and the new crop of politicians seemingly want to toss the US Constitution out the window and start over. Frankly we have NO IDEA what that would do to our nation, and I have NO DESIRE to see it happen. Do you?
One thing is certain - all of them obviously swore falsely when they took their oaths of office to support the constitution, as required by Article VI, Section 3 of that covenant. How can people who swear falsely be trusted with our nation and with our future?
Short answer ... they cannot. Do NOT elect this man, or anyone like him.
