Here is a somewhat misleading essay about the nuclear disaster at Fukushima:

Here are a few necessary corrections (based upon my 25 years of experience in the nuclear field, including two stints with General Electric, the designer of the Fukushima plants, and my certification as a Senior Reactor Operator):
(1) The reactors did not "explode". Hydrogen generated by a high temperature reaction with the fuel cladding exploded. The explosion occurred inside the secondary containment structures, not inside the reactors.
(2) Once the loss of cooling accident occurred, these plants were doomed. The accident exceeded their design basis, and the equipment and personnel at the site were not adequate to deal with the situation.
(3) The only way this disaster might have been prevented was to not have built these plants here in the first place.
Nuclear power is neither a science nor an engineering discipline; it is a religion. And its high priests are never going to admit that their religion is more demonic than godly.
If Obama ad-Dajjal and his minions in the West want to save the world, then instead of messing around with Russia, China, and the Muslim world they need to mobilize to address the threat from Fukushima. Ukraine can take care of herself; the nuclear disaster in Japan cannot.
