According to the CDC, the autism rate in US children is 1 in 68 (nearly 1.5%, or 1.2 million under the age of 21):

How in hell did THAT happen? Are we still willing to believe that the "American way of life", including the huge number of vaccinations our children are subject to, has nothing to do with this?
For the sake of comparison, the worldwide rate for autism is 1-2 per 1000 children (0.1-0.2%). Is this merely an "awareness" issue, or is something horribly wrong with the United States or the West in general?
