The 99% Have No Tools of Liberation

Here is an interesting essay on the Dissident Voice website:

http://dissidentvoice.org/2014/03/alleged-problems-real-solutions/

There are more than 300 million people in the USA. 492 of them are billionaires. That represents roughly 16 millionths of 1%. In decimal form that’s 0.0000016, or as a fraction, 16 over 1 million. This is not the 1% the Occupy Movement imprinted on (some of) the national consciousness. Even an innumerate person can understand that represents a teeny, tiny, microscopic portion of our supposedly democratic, equal opportunity, propaganda spouting world’s most deadly military killing machine in history.

This is the very definition of oligarchy (a small group of people having control of a country, organization, or institution).

The essay ends by recommending the following:

Demand and create social transformation before these people and their system destroys us all.

Demand ... how?

Create ... how?

You can trust in the system to follow its rules and to apply its famous "checks and balances", but it won't.

You can vote, but it will make no difference. The new boss will be the same as the old boss, or worse.

You can speak, but no one will listen. If you speak loudly enough, state-sponsored Quislings will call you a liar or a nut.

You can publish "the truth", but if it happens to have been classified by the state you will be hunted down and imprisoned or killed as a "traitor".

You can assemble and demonstrate and ask for a redress of grievances, but the state-funded hyper-militarized police will corral you, spray poison in your face, drag you through jail, and/or declare you to be an enemy of the state and assassinate you.

You can gather and arm your "well regulated Militia", but agents of the state will infiltrate and destroy it, sending all of its members to prison for lengthy sentences for being "terrorists".

You can appeal to the courts, but they will tell you that you have no standing ... or if you have standing, they will tell you that the state did nothing wrong and that you are the criminal.

You can appeal to the Constitution, but those who took (and subsequently violated) their oath of office will tell you that you don't know how to properly interpret it.

In short, like Saint Paul you can appeal to Caesar ... but you will get crucified anyway.

You have no earthly tools of liberation.
