Germany is turning unused prisons into hotels

The number of people who need to be imprisoned in Germany is steadily declining;

In addition to the novelty of this commercial venture, one should ask why their level of criminality is dropping? Possible factors:
  • They have a thriving economy with real jobs for people,
  • They imprison and deport their illegal immigrants, and
  • They don't have the drug problem we do.

We could learn something from them ... but we won't.
