If you will recall, "Custer's Last Stand" took place at the Greasy Grass near Hardin, Montana. Following his death, the US took considerable pains to round up and/or slaughter the remaining Indians who were still free. Then the rape of the land stolen from those Indians began in earnest.
Today the process continues unabated. Coal is ripped from the earth and taken out in long trains of rail cars, and now the Keystone XL pipeline may soon snake its way through the state.
The locals do not like the idea; other than an oil man, who would?
