And they are still unrepentant:

Yesterday I finished reading The Wretched of the Earth by Frantz Fanon. This book was all the rage during the Vietnam War era, and I can recall the war resisters and draft dodgers discussing it at the time. I'm glad I read it now instead of then. Back then I was a US Army killer robot, but I have slowly come to my senses over the years.
In the book Fanon, a psychiatrist, described the effects of the Algerian civil war on the people of that nation. The French tortured them mercilessly, and the French view of the Algerian people had been poisoned by the psychologists of the day.
Now, as then, it's the intelligentsia of a nation that spearheads its racism, warmongering, torturing, and brutality. The masses merely do what their leaders tell them to do. And it's worth noting that the hippies who so fervently welcomed Fanon's words then are the very people who are ruling the US today. Apparently they didn't learn a damn thing from reading Fanon; they have betrayed both him and us.
