The rationale for keeping things secret

The feds often give the following reasons for keeping things secret and for punishing those who leak secret info:

• If released, the knowledge would compromise their sources of information, and
• If released, the knowledge would jeopardize the safety of their spies.

Well, Uncle Sam, I want you to know two things:

• I don't want you to have those sources that you use to spy on me and my neighbors, and
• I don't want you to have any spies watching me and my neighbors.

If you weren't acting like such a jackass all the time, we wouldn't have all these enemies. Most if not all of them just want you to stop fucking with them, and you have my permission to do so.
