Kerry lies, Syria, and Gulf War Syndrome

Political language ... is designed to make lies sound truthful and murder respectable, and to give an appearance of solidarity to pure wind.
– George Orwell

Now John Kerry is pulling samples out of his hat, taken "independently" and with a "chain of custody":

This may or may not be true. I want to see what the UN inspectors find before deciding.

However, it is a FACT that in response to claims that our troops were attacked with chemical weapons during Operation Desert Storm, the US government did NOTHING to help them: no "independent tests" and no "chain of custody" for any samples submitted by the veterans:

Can you spell "Gulf War Syndrome"?

I would also like to point out that in 1995 not a single qualified independent laboratory in the world was willing to analyze samples from Kuwait or Iraq to determine whether nerve gas was the cause of Gulf War Syndrome. I know because I asked them myself. They all are either in Uncle Sam's pocket or deathly afraid of the US. For this reason alone, I would discount any so-called "results" which come through Uncle Sam's channels, official or otherwise.

And if the "independent" source is Israel, forget about it. They may or may not be independent, but they can hardly be called unbiased.
