Disturbing new evidence of methane outbreak

I am lukewarm on the subject of climate change. Clearly something is going on, but it's doubtful that we can hinder such powerful geologic processes. I think we're on course for an eventual methane outbreak, and when it occurs our lives will be fundamentally altered in ways we now can only imagine.
