Normally I would call this hypocrisy, but this time it has crossed over into fraud:
On Thursday, U.S. Ambassador to the United Nations Samantha Power criticized Russia outside the U.N. Security Council in New York City.
Samantha Power: "Even in the wake of the flagrant shattering of the international norm against chemical weapons use, Russia continues to hold the council hostage and shirk its international responsibilities, including as a party to the chemical weapons convention. What we have learned, what the Syrian people have learned, is that the Security Council the world needs to deal with this crisis is not the Security Council we have."

Really? What we need now and always is a Security Council that is not Israel's or the US's puppet, and in this case that's what we have.
Dear Sam: If you want to stop shirking responsibilities, then start with the undeclared Israeli nuclear weapons program. Under US law, its existence requires boycott, divestment, and sanctions against Israel ... not against Iran's declared and perfectly legal program.
Uphold the law ... not just the laws you like.
And by the way, under the current Chemical Weapons Convention the alleged Syrian attack was not illegal. Heinous, but not illegal.
What's the point in having a so-called Constitutional law professor as President if he's a law-breaking liar? Or is that what they teach in law school these days: how to break the law and get away with it?
